Learn More About Our Prestige Garage Flooring

What type of coating systems do you use? Most companies just use Epoxy, don’t they?

Prestige Garage liquid floor coating systems are a revolutionary new hybrid polymer chemistry manufactured Sika. Prestige Garage liquid floor systems are superior to Epoxy from the standpoint of installation time and return to service, UV resistance, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, long-term durability, maintenance and shine.

My house is brand new. How will you prepare the floor before coating it?

We start by grinding any areas of concrete or stucco spillage, then oil and grease stains are treated and degreased. We then prepare the concrete to be coated by grinding the surface. Other companies acid etch or sandblast the concrete, which is not sufficient to create proper surface bonding.

I have some small cracks in my floor. What will be done with these?

All open cracks including those in your expansion or “tool” joints, if applicable, will be repaired. Additionally, larger surface imperfections will also be repaired. Extensive crack and/or patch repairs may be subject to additional charges.

How long does the entire process take and when can I put my car back in the garage?

The Prestige Garage liquid floor coating system usually can be installed in just one day. You may park in your garage and have full use of it just 24 hours later. Weather conditions (i.e., low temperatures, high humidity) may extend the installation and return to service times.

My garage is full of stuff. What do we do with it while the floor is being coated?

It is the homeowner's responsibility to remove all possessions from the garage. Premier Garage offers Prestige Complete service. For more details, please see Prestige Complete link on this website.

What is the best method to clean my new floor?

We recommend mixing 5 – 6 ounces of CLEAR ammonia per gallon of water in a mop bucket. A large headed string/rag mop works best, with a wringer mechanism on your mop bucket. For Prestige decorative fine chip systems, we recommend hosing the floor with a standard garden hose with spray nozzle attachment, then utilizing a foam squeegee (available from PG) to remove the excess water from the floor. Special Note: Do NOT use soap-based product as these leave a film which reduces the shine in the floor and can also become extremely slippery when the floor gets damp or wet.

How long will my floor last?

Prestige Garage liquid floor coating systems have a life expectancy of 10 years under normal use and with proper cleaning and care.

What is the floor coating warranty?

All of our floor coatings are backed by a one year limited warranty against defects in materials. Prestige Garage offers program up to a 5 year warranty for residential and 3 years on commerical flooring installations.

Learn More About Our Prestige Garage Cabinets

What are PrestigeGarage cabinets made of?

All of our cabinets are made from industrial-grade particleboard finished on both sides with thermally-fused melamine laminate. This material will not delaminate, peel, bubble or discolor, and cleans up with a soft cloth and household all-surface cleaners. Cabinet shelving and the top and bottom decks of our cabinets are made from 1" thick materials for strength and durability.

Why do you mount all of your cabinets off the ground? Don’t you need additional support?

Traditional garage cabinetry is built on top of a pedestal, or a "toe kick" that becomes a perfect nesting place for pests and bugs. These pests eventually find their way into your home. Mounting the cabinets off the floor eliminates this potential home for critters, and reduces the likelihood of water damage.

How are your cabinets put together? In my last house, they were all stapled together and falling apart.

Ah, rest assured that at Prestige Garage, no wood will be subject to abuse from staples, as we never use a single one! All of our cabinets are built using the European 32mm system, the same as is used in fine cabinets and furniture. Back panels are locked into a "dado" groove, which adds strength and interlocks the cabinet. Behind this back is a wall attachment member glued and screwed to the side panels. All interior side panels are drilled for easy, precise shelf adjustment.

Sounds pretty nice. How long do they take to install?

Our professional installers arrive at your home with cabinetry ready to install. Using 4" long, hardened steel installation screws, we mount each cabinet directly to your studs, install shelving, hang doors, mount handles, and, of course, clean everything when complete. While most installations are completed the same day, some make take less or more, depending on size and complexity of the job.

So, will I have to refinance my house to afford this quality system?

We sell a premium, high-grade product at a fair price considering the materials, workmanship and attention to detail that goes into each system we install. Our systems are sold by the cabinet box, or module. Each piece is priced separately, so you can design your own system and tailor it to fit both your needs and budget. Our systems are also easily expandable, so you can add onto your system as your budget allows. As every client's garage and requirements vary, we suggest you click on the link below to request an estimate to meet you at your home to create a system just right for you.

After I get the cabinets, what is the warranty?

We are so sure of the quality of our cabinetry, we stand behind them with a one year limited warranty to the original owner. Accidents, water or impact damage, abuse or neglect is not covered by the warranty.
